Hi, I’m Rachael and I’m the little lady behind Rach Makes Cakes. My husband, Travis, and I currently live in Woodstock, Georgia with Billoween, the old, blind Dachshund and Melvin Blooh, the fluffy, white, blue eyed kitty.

For as long as I can remember, it’s been my dream to open a cake shop. I spent a ton of time in college writing my business plan and several years after wondering just how I was going to make the jump from the corporate world to making cakes full time.

I can officially announce that I made that jump in February 2013.  Trav and I have spent the last TEN months working very hard to make that happen.  I won’t go into the nitty-gritty details of our hard labor because only the final result is important:  Rach Makes Cakes is open for business to the general public.

In addition to making cakes for clients, I’ll also be making video tutorials that will help home bakers make better cakes. So when I’m not busy making a cake, I’ll be making videos to show YOU how I do things.
